Big news for the Nutella lovers: our Nutella Bombolone is back at the bakery for the entire month of June.
If you missed it the first time we offered these, here's what you need to know. A bombolone (boh-mboh-LOH-nay) is the Italian version of a filled donut, round, soft, pillowy, generously rolled in sugar after it comes out of the fryer. We fill ours with a hit of real Nutella, the kind that oozes out the side when you take a bite. It's everything you want from a filled donut, but with the Italian-bakery treatment.
Last time we offered these, they sold out faster than we expected. The DMs came in asking when we'd bring them back. So we listened, and we're running them for the entire month of June this time.
What Makes It Different
A few things set the bombolone apart from a standard jelly-filled donut:
- The Italian style. Bombolone is the Italian classic. Round, generously sized, traditionally rolled in granulated sugar instead of glazed or iced. It's a different presentation altogether.
- The dough is our bismark dough. If you love our jelly bismarks, you already love this dough. Soft, pillowy, made fresh every morning. We just shape it a little different and fill it with Nutella instead of jelly.
- The sugar coating. We roll them in granulated sugar while they're still warm from the fryer, so the crystals lock in and give you that signature crunch on the first bite.
- The Nutella is real Nutella. No chocolate-flavored filling, no shortcut. Real Nutella, generously piped, oozing.

How to Get Yours
Stop in to 145 W Market St in downtown Orrville any morning we're open (Tuesday-Saturday, doors open at 6 AM), or order online for pickup. We bake fresh every morning, when they're gone for the day, they're gone, so coming earlier in the day is usually a safer bet.
